For clearing negativity and promoting a spiritual atmosphere
For clearing negativity and promoting a spiritual atmosphere I use Sage/Sweet grass.
It is prepared in bundle form by Native American Indians. It is excellent for clearing, rather like dusting the negative psychic cobwebs away.
Incense
Incense is a substance that produces a fragrant odour when burned and it has been used for centuries. It was used in the ancient temples of Egypt for purification, when high priests used the mystical aromas in their religious ceremonies and rituals. In fact, incense is used today in every ritual from Buddhism to Hinduism, in the Catholic and Anglican churches and many more.
How Incense is made
Lots of different types of materials and methods are used to make incense. Here are the most common: oil-dipped (these usually start as base sandalwood sticks, then fragrance oil is added), natural sticks (these are generally rolled by hand) and powders (poured into coil form). Incense has a very pleasant smell and burning joss sticks in your home can be immensely beneficial giving you a feeling and calmness and peace.
